Restoration of the Concrete Facade

PHASE 1 – Building 24 (2017-20):

• Development of methods and materials for the repair of the historic concrete in preparation of a conservation plan
• Preparation of Mock-up to define appropriate repair mortar and technique to re-mould a strongly damaged facade
• Samples of mortar repair including retouching in-situ

• Repair of the concrete fassade
• Partial repair of damaged areas: reinstate original surface in texture and color
• Repair of heavy deteriorated areas by cast-in-situ concrete technology: concrete framework imitating original surface features

PHASE 2 – Building 25 (2022)

• Repair of the concrete fassade
• Partial repair of damaged areas: reinstate original surface in texture and color
• Repair of heavy deteriorated areas by cast-in-situ concrete technology: concrete framework imitating original surface features
• replacement of concrete cast stone – windowsill
